Pricing & Quotes

Quick answers to the most common cost and quote questions.

Q How much does a resin driveway cost?

Resin driveway costs depend mainly on the size of the area and the features involved (such as manholes and steps). Our online calculator gives a helpful guide price, and we’ll always provide a free site visit for an accurate quote.

Q What affects the final price?

Final pricing can vary depending on:

  • Condition and suitability of the existing base
  • Access (wheelbarrow distance, gates, steps, etc.)
  • Edging requirements and detailing
  • Drainage needs or remedial work

We’ll explain any recommendations clearly before work begins.

Q Is VAT included in your prices?

Yes — our calculator figures are shown as VAT-inclusive guide prices.

Q Do you offer free quotes?

Yes. We’re happy to visit your property, take measurements, assess the base and access, and provide a clear written quote at no cost.

Installation & Process

What to expect before, during and after installation.

Q How long does installation take?

Most residential projects are completed within a few days, depending on size and any preparation work required. We’ll confirm timescales once we’ve assessed your site.

Q How soon can I walk or drive on it?

Typically you can walk on it after around 24 hours, and drive on it after around 48 hours. This can vary with weather and site conditions — we’ll advise you on the day.

Q Can resin be laid over existing concrete or tarmac?

Often yes — if the existing base is sound, stable, and suitable. During a site visit we’ll check for cracks, movement and drainage before confirming the best approach.

Q Will there be much disruption?

We keep disruption to a minimum and always communicate clearly. You may have limited access to the driveway during parts of the installation, but we plan this with you in advance.

Q Do you use subcontractors?

No. We complete all work with our own team, which helps maintain consistent quality from start to finish.

Durability & Maintenance

How resin performs in real life (and how to look after it).

Q How long does resin bound surfacing last?

When installed correctly on a suitable base, resin bound surfacing can last 15–20 years or more. Preparation and base condition are the biggest factors for lifespan.

Q Is resin bound permeable / SUDS compliant?

Yes — resin bound surfaces are designed to be permeable, allowing water to drain through the surface (when installed correctly with the right build-up).

Q Will it crack?

The resin surface itself is flexible, but cracking can occur if the base underneath is unstable or already cracked. That’s why we focus on preparation and base checks before installation.

Q Is resin slippery when wet or icy?

Resin bound has a textured, grippy finish. While no surface is completely slip-proof in icy conditions, resin performs very well when installed correctly and kept clean.

Q How do I maintain it?

Maintenance is simple: regular sweeping and an occasional wash keeps it looking its best. Avoid heavy pressure washing too close to the surface edges, and we’ll provide aftercare guidance.

Q Can weeds grow through resin?

Weeds don’t typically grow up through a properly prepared resin system. However, wind-blown seeds can settle on top (like any surface). Keeping it swept and clean prevents this.

Planning & Technical

The practical questions homeowners often ask.

Q Do I need planning permission?

Often not, because resin bound is permeable. Planning rules can vary by property and council area, so if you’re unsure we can advise during your quote visit.

Q What base is required under resin?

A solid, stable base is essential — commonly concrete or tarmac in good condition. If the base isn’t suitable, we’ll recommend the best preparation so the surface lasts.

Q What colours and finishes are available?

There’s a wide range of aggregate colours and blends. We can show samples and recommend options that suit your home and surroundings.

Guarantee & Peace of Mind

Reassurance around quality, workmanship and how we operate.

Q Do you provide a guarantee?

Yes — we provide a 5-year craftsmanship guarantee on workmanship. We’ll explain what’s covered as part of your quote.

Q Are you insured?

Yes. We carry appropriate insurance for peace of mind. If you’d like details, just ask when you get in touch.

Q Can I see examples of your previous work?

Absolutely — visit our gallery to view completed projects and finishes. We can also share examples similar to your home.
